Helping people reconnect with themselves and their partners isn’t just my job; it’s personal. I know the freedom that comes from naming the hard stuff, breaking toxic patterns, and making space for real connection.

About Me

Hey y’all!

I’m Mariah. My clients tend to call me Mariah, Dr. P, or just Doc.

I’m the kind of person who loves a color-coded spreadsheet but has thirty-three tabs open in my brain at all times. I believe in nervous system regulation, petty revenge fantasies, and leaving texts on read when I’m overstimulated.

Outside of the therapy room, you’ll find me deep-cleaning while blasting ‘90s country, pulling tarot cards like they’re receipts, or emotionally recovering from a book I finished two weeks ago. I’ve built a life I love and still get overwhelmed trying to keep up with it. I know what it’s like to look like you’ve got it all together while quietly spiraling under the surface. I also know it doesn’t have to be that way forever and I’m living proof.

I became a therapist because I’ve lived the emotional chaos I now help people untangle. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, unseen, and stuck in a cycle of burnout while still showing up for everyone else. I work with clients who are smart, self-aware, and exhausted.

Therapy should be a place where you can be honest without judgment, curious without shame, and committed to growth, even when it’s messy. I bring my full self to this work because I believe in building relationships that actually last (and don’t suck in the process). I’m here to help you move from burnout and resentment to clarity, connection, and that deep “oh, there I am” feeling.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized training in couples work, trauma, emotional burnout, and advanced work in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also hold a Doctor of Education from the University of Florida, which basically means I speak fluent systems and feelings.

I’ve worked in group practices that didn’t align (shoutout to my early career), and now run a private practice in Florida and South Carolina that reflects my full voice and values. My style blends evidence-based tools with spiritual insight, real-world grounding, and a no-BS vibe that helps people feel safe, challenged, and seen.

Therapy with me is structured, intuitive, and human. Whether you’re in a crisis or just tired of pretending everything’s fine, I’m here to help you come home to yourself, and to each other, without the sugarcoating.

So if you’re ready to stop faking fine and actually feel better (for real this time) I’d be honored to walk with you.
