Clinical Supervision
That actually helps you grow
Hey future therapist!
You’re doing the damn thing.
You made it through grad school, your imposter syndrome is flaring like a bad rash, and now you’re trying to find a supervisor who won’t just check the boxes and sign your hours but actually help you grow into the clinician you want to be.
This stage is messy, important, and powerful.
I’m Dr. Mariah Plociniak
though most people just call me Mariah
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida & an approved telehealth provider in the State of South Carolina
Florida Qualified Supervisor for RMHCI and RMFTI clinicians
Currently racking up the hours to become an AAMFT Approved Supervisor (because of course I am).
All of my qualifications can be found on my About Me page if you’d like to do a deeper dive on my education, training, and professional memberships
The Basics
I specialize in relational therapy, trauma, and burnout; which means I don’t just care about your paperwork and your progress reports.
I care about you. The real you.
The one building something brave from the ground up, trying to figure out who the hell you are as a therapist while also wondering what therapy actually looks like outside the bubble of grad school.
Supervision with me looks like real conversations.
Not lectures, not performance reviews, and definitely not pretending like you have to have it all figured out.
We’ll get into the nitty gritty of your toughest cases, unpack countertransference without shame, and talk through the practical side of clinical work that your textbooks never covered. You'll get guidance that's grounded in evidence-based approaches and real-life messiness.
Because let's face it: theory is cute, but it doesn’t always show up for you in the therapy room.
Here’s what you’ll get in supervision with me:
How to actually apply theory (without sounding like you're reading straight from a textbook)
How to build your identity as a therapist from the inside out; not based on what you think you should do, but what feels aligned with your values and voice
How to navigate burnout, boundaries, and big feelings while still showing up fully for your clients
How to ethically and effectively work with trauma, relational dynamics, and emotional regulation in a way that doesn’t fry your nervous system
How to build a sustainable career in this field that doesn’t make you want to yeet your license into the void
I bring structure when it’s needed, humor when it helps, and clarity when things feel murky.
I offer individual supervision sessions online and in person (yes, I play by the state board’s rules). I keep group options small on purpose, think more connection, less awkward silence.
We’ll work together to meet both your licensure requirements and your real-world needs.
Whether you want support launching a private practice, refining your niche, or just want someone who will call you in (not out), I’m here for it.
If you’re a perfectionist, an over-thinker, a high-achiever with anxiety, or someone who wants to make therapy more human…
Welcome home. I see you.
Got Questions About Supervision?
Supervision shouldn’t be a mystery. Here’s what you need to know:
-
I believe supervision should be more than just clocking clinical hours. It’s a chance to grow into the badass therapist (and human) you want to be; clinically, but also in building your own niche, developing your voice, and carving out a meaningful future in this field. I blend real clinical skills with career and business insight, because let’s be honest, it’s not just about surviving; you want to thrice. My style is honest, direct, and full of humor. Expect to be challenged and celebrated along the way.

I see every client problem as part of a bigger system; none of us exists in a vacuum. I’m trauma-trained in Brainspotting (what’s that?), and I love working with couples (shout out to my mans, Gottman!). I’m also comfortable supervising on addiction, families, and teens (13+ most days). Two years in a treatment center and another two in a group private practice that felt like an agency showed me what it’s like to survive the grind annnnd the “WTF am I doing?” moments when support is basically nonexistent. If it’s trauma, relationships, or complicated family stuff, I’m in my element.

Honestly, I help you sell yourself on your own damn dream. I help you dig deep into what you actually want to do once that license is in your hand and then push you to start building it now. Whatever your vision is, I’m here for it. Whether you want to niche down, start a side hustle, or flip the script on your career, I’m here for it. Sometimes it’s pep talks, sometimes it’s tough love, but it’s always about you chasing what you really want.

Accountability. Reality checks. (Maybe a little awkwardness). Definitely lots of laughs and dark humor, because let’s be honest, this work can be intense. Supervision isn’t just about dissecting client sessions; it’s about designing your future as a therapist. Expect to get challenged, encouraged, and held accountable for your own growth. Also, I take gatekeeping our field seriously sooooo if you work with me, you’re signing up to become a genuinely great therapist, not just someone filling out the hours.
-
I hope you walk away with your own professional voice; not just mimicking mine or anyone else’s. I want you to take yourself a little less seriously; it makes you a better clinician and a better human. My goal is that you leave ready to run your own practice, lead teams, supervise others, and actually give back. Most of all, I want you to know exactly who you want to be as a therapist.
-
I don’t do bad supervision. If you sign up with me, expect to really show up for yourself and your clients. I’m excitable and a little busy (aren’t we all?), but always in your corner and ready to help you actually grow. Oh, and let’s be real: you probably want to know how much it’s going to cost.
Here’s the breakdown:
Individual: $100/hour
Dyadic: $75/hour
Group: $50/hour
TL;DR
If you want authentic support, clear feedback, and a supervisor who gets what it’s like to build something from scratch…
I got you.
