Standard Notice.
“Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges” Under the No Surprises Act
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical or mental health care will cost.
Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to give clear, upfront cost estimates to anyone who doesn’t have insurance or isn’t using it for services. This is designed to give you more transparency and help prevent unexpected bills down the line.
You’re entitled to receive a written Good Faith Estimate at least one business day before your appointment. You can also request one at any time from me or any other provider you’re considering.
This estimate will include the total expected cost of services—plus any related expenses like testing, prescriptions, or additional care. If you receive a bill that’s $400 or more above your estimate, you have the right to dispute it.
